Saint Valentine of Rome - 1

 In one of very popular legend, Valentine was a priest in Rome who lived when reigned  Emperor Claudius II. To strengthen his army, the Emperor continuously needed to recruit soldiers. Claudius found that many soldiers cant join the army because of attachment with their wives and families. He want sever the love, and Claudius cancelled all marriages in Rome. Valentine - a romantic at heart priest, defied this callous decree of Claudius. He by secretly arranging marriages. When the emperor learned of this he was put to death the 14 of  February  .

  LATER Saint Valentine became cite as the patron saint of love and lovers in England and France. Pope Gelasius declared the 14 of  February  as Valentine's Day.
